PDF ART

For the most part, we can all agree that business documents are visually boring; just black ink on white paper. And as marketers, our work will only look as cool as the documents we’re showing on screen.

So, what is PDF art?

“PDF art” is how we identified the mock documents we made, for the fake companies we created to use in our ads. This could include proposals, materials & cost sheets, employment applications, offer letters, real estate agreements, field trip permission slips, medical forms, recipe books — basically, any document you could think of.

Each quarter, I worked with the strategy team to prioritize the industries and use cases we needed to create PDF art for. Then, I’d search the internet, contact talented artists, and commission the purchase of original artwork. From there, I’d work closely with one of our internal designers to create a series of PDF art documents.

These are the documents used in display ads, social posts, emails, website marquees, and GIFs — plus all of the photo and video content shot for our Asset library. Below you’ll find a small sample of the PDF art library. The copy in the following documents was provided by me.
